Mary has blended the fields of psychotherapy and spirituality for over 16 years as a California licensed therapist (with 13 of those years as a private practice clinician). She holds a Master's degree in Religious Studies from Loyola University in New Orleans and a Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University. In her work as a therapist, she has integrated these two approaches into a process of "inner work" utilizing sandplay therapy, dream exploration, and journal writing. She has trained with two analysts from the C.G. Jung Institute in Los Angeles in the symbolic depth work of the unconscious. Ken Horst is a researcher, life coach, trainer and clinical hypnotherapist. He began his career teaching core weight training programs to college athletes. Ken built a successful business as a personal health consultant (specializing in senior rehabilitation) and later brought mind and body together using the tools of hypnotherapy. Knowledge in the fields of nutrition, detoxification, body work and physical fitness continues to bring his clientele peak levels of health and wellness. Michael Boyer L.Ac. has spent over 20 years honing his skills in the healing arts. An early passion for yoga and shiatsu massage served as a springboard into the field of Chinese Medicine and, in 1995, Michael graduated from Oakland’s Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences with a Master of Science Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The past fifteen years has found Michael treating thousands of patients from every walk of life and for a vast array of conditions. In addition to his invaluable experience in internal medicine, women’s health, pain management, and cosmetic acupuncture, Michael has garnered a special reputation in sports’ medicine; working with Olympic gold medalists, professional athletes, sports’ teams, and ballet companies.

His expertise is as respected by the academics as it is by his patients. As a past faculty member at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland, Michael has worked as a professor of acupuncture, ethics, and practice management. He is also an item writer and examiner for NCCAOM’s national certification examination and the author of two books about Chinese herbs and formulas.
